The story covers the life time of two people meeting, parting and reuniting again. The characters are from two different worlds. Ann is a nun who is not sure she wants to be a nun because of the hypocrisy she found in her order. Although twenty-five when she first meets George she looks much younger. George is a twenty year old young man when they meet and has no idea that he is dating an older woman who is a nun. Their meetings over the years cause much joy and sadness for both of them.
